Hello Monett Cubs!

Welcome back to Monett High School for the 2016-2017 school year.

This year promises to be another great school year! MOD scheduling is in its third year, with teachers and students applying lessons learned in the first two years to make resource and advisory more beneficial to all.  Monett High School’s GOCAPS (Greater Ozark Center for Advanced Professional Studies) program is growing, now offering Medicine & Health Care and Education strands alongside the returning Engineering & Manufacturing and Technology Solutions strands.

Our returning MHS Cub student leaders have a number of great ideas to build on our school culture and spirit.  Monett High students can look forward to a Monett High School “spirit wear” store, new twists on school dances, as well as organized theme nights at sporting events.  We hope to see the student sections filled with cheering MHS Cubs!  It’s inspiring to see students coming together to make their school the kind of place they want it to be.

This will be our 20th year in the current Monett High School building.  As we look forward to the next 20 years I am sure that Monett High School will continue to be looked upon as a leader in education throughout the region and state.

Staunch and Strong, Monett Cubs!

David Williams

High School Principal

Welcome!

I would like to personally welcome you to Monett High School.  I feel
both honored and privileged to be joining Monett High School as your newly-
appointed Assistant Principal.  This year looks to be an exciting time at MHS as we
enter the third year of MOD scheduling, the completion of the Performing Arts
Center, and the kick-off of GOCAPS.  Each of these achievements and programs show
student focus of the Monett High School teachers and staff and their dedication to
making MHS a place where students enter to learn, leave to succeed.

I believe in a student-centered approach to education that focuses on

meeting the unique needs and talents of each students.  It is my goal to help
students at MHS succeed.  My hope is that both students and parents will find me
approachable and easy to talk to so that we can work together throughout the
year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns, or to share
good news!

Sincerely,

Caysie Turner
Assistant Principal
